EBay has just encounter a massive attack on the Corporate Network, it was strongly cracked and the security was breached with the Data and Information has been compromised. However eBay has responded that there is no evidence that the any of the customer’s financial information has been stolen but company requested all users to change the usernames and passwords. EBay has also says that they were a victim, of the massive cyber attack on the corporate Network, which exploited the database restraining EBay’s user passwords and also said that there is no evidence that the Financial information stolen. This news comes out when Ebay owned PayPal posted a Blog post says “eBay, Inc. to Ask All eBay users to Change Passwords”, the post has nothing but title but gone viral on web and causing confusion among the Online Auction house.

Cnet Says“After conducting extensive tests on its networks, the company said it has no evidence of the compromise resulting in unauthorized activity for eBay users, and no evidence of any unauthorized access to financial or credit card information, which is stored separately in encrypted formats,"

This has been not a new incident, when a company got hacked, several big brands like Target, AT&T has hacked but the big threat to the Internet is NSA, which previously accused of installing the spyware into network hardware. As of Ebay, it also concerned about the PayPal Users but its User information and other confidential info is stored in separated encrypted network.

Ebay had detected the attack two weeks before news and spending the time to investigate, how many information had been compromised. They narrowed down the attack to a smaller figure and concluded that hacker stole the Employees Login credentials, which then provided them the access to corporate Network and other Data that they altered and stole.
